Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.08%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.
Shares of Bosch(up 1.13 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.8 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 0.61 per cent), Bajaj Auto(up 0.57 per cent) and Bharat Forge(up 0.48 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Tata Motors(down 1.03 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 0.68 per cent), TIINDIA(down 0.43 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.25 per cent) and Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 0.19 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.08 per cent down at 15513.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 37.8 points at 19749.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 205.21 points at 66795.14.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 30 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Reliance Power, PNB and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Anmol India, We Win, Ganesh Housing, Dreamfolks Services and SMS Pharma hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Quality Foils(India, Cell Point(India), Uravi T and Wedge, Bombay Metrics Suppl and Aartech Solonics hit their fresh 52-week lows.
