Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.02% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:19AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Tata Motors(up 0.83 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 0.65 per cent), Bosch(up 0.34 per cent), TIINDIA(up 0.27 per cent) and Eicher Motors(up 0.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 0.87 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.85 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.84 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(down 0.77 per cent) and Bharat Forge(down 0.54 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.02 per cent at 14655.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 7.7 points at 18708.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 84.9 points at 63058.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Brightcom Group, Reliance Power and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GKW Ltd, Baid Leasing, Ducol Organics & Col, Uma Exports and Signet Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while D P Abhushan, Swastik Pipe, Sahana System, Rachana Infrastructu and Tirupati Forge hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
