Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 1.05% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

Bharat Forge(up 1.9 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 1.87 per cent), Bosch(up 1.81 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 1.55 per cent) and Tata Motors(up 1.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Escorts Kubota(down 0.76 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 1.05 per cent at 12695.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 291.05 points at 17305.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 1014.3 points at 58249.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 50 were trading in the green, while 0 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea and Brightcom Group were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hindcon Chemicals, Zenith Exports, SKP Bearing Industries Ltd., Apollo Micro Systems and Anand Rathi Wealth Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Debock Sales & Mktg, Akshar Spintex, Tips Films Ltd., Dhanuka Realty and SriHavishaHosp hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
