Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 1.05% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:55AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 1.05 per cent at 25226.4 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 37.95 points at 24568.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 106.8 points at 80711.45.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Teleservices, IFCI and IRFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sportking India, North Eastern, National Fertilizers, Nitin Spinners and Navkar Corp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shrenik, Brightcom Group, Sanco Industries, Praxis Home Retail and Palred Technologies hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
