Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.86% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:44AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

TIINDIA(up 4.28 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.11 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 1.76 per cent), MRF(up 1.58 per cent) and Bajaj Auto(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Samvardhana Motherson International(down 0.07 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 0.86 per cent at 13070.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 31.3 points at 18544.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 128.53 points at 62422.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, PNB and Rail Vikas Nigam were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Mohini Health & Hygi, NGL Fine Chem, Ugar Sugar Work, Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd. and Rail Vikas Nigam hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shekhawati Poly, Cyber Media Research & Services Ltd., Bombay Rayon, Penta Gold and TCI Finance hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
