Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.65% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.
Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(up 1.21 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) and Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent) and MRF Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.65 per cent at 23750.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 157.81 points at 25202.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 547.93 points at 82603.04.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, JP Power, Vishal Mega Mart and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Sundaram Finance, Niraj Ispat Ind., Indosolar Ltd, Sumeet Ind and HEC Infra Projects hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while TECIL Chemicals, Sadhana Nitro, Lasa Supergenerics, Osia Hyper Retail and Viceroy Hotels hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
