Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.64%
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.64 per cent up at 15425.0.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Tata Motors(up 1.88 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.54 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.05 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 0.94 per cent) and Bharat Forge(up 0.91 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, TIINDIA(down 2.65 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.96 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.38 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 0.35 per cent) and Eicher Motors(down 0.34 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.64 per cent up at 15425.0.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 30.45 points at 19465.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 137.5 points at 65539.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Indian Railway Fin, SBFC Finance, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea and IOB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of SBFC Finance, Texmo Pipe Prod, GRSE, Cochin Shipyard and Krishca Strapping So hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Goldstar Power, Synoptics Technologi, BKM Industries, Genesys Intnl and Oriana Power hit their fresh 52-week lows.
