Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.49% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 11:01AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Balkrishna Industries(up 3.13 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 2.28 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(up 1.5 per cent), Tata Motors(up 1.15 per cent) and Bosch(up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Hero MotoCorp(down 0.53 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.11 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 0.07 per cent) and TIINDIA(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 0.49 per cent at 13958.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.3 points at 18399.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 227.75 points at 62191.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Adani Ports SEZ, Zomato, Vodafone Idea and Motherson Sumi Wirin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Aurionpro Sol, Servotech Power Syst, Jai Balaji Inds, Hilton Metal and Marshall Machines hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Jet Airways, Viji Finance, SEL Manufact, Lyka Labs and SITI Networks hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
