Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.43% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 11:06AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

TIINDIA(up 2.16 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(up 1.16 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(up 0.9 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.85 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.

MRF(down 0.35 per cent) and Bharat Forge(down 0.28 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 0.43 per cent at 13029.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 18.2 points at 17831.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 68.44 points at 60369.02.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Rail Vikas Nigam, Vodafone Idea, NHPC and City Union Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of GE T&D India, Barak Valley, Ircon Intl., Bharat Wire Ropes and MOS Utility hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while BEML Land Assets, Brightcom Group, Jakharia Fabric, Avalon Technologies and Aavas Financiers hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
