Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.39% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:19AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Bajaj Auto(up 1.27 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.59 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 0.58 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.56 per cent) and TVS Motor Company(up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.

TIINDIA(down 0.71 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 0.4 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 0.25 per cent), MRF(down 0.18 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 0.39 per cent at 15558.8 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 120.5 points at 19564.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 402.51 points at 65835.81.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 49 were trading in the green, while 1 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Indian Railway Fin, GMR Infra, Manappuram Finance and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Paras Defence, VELS Film Internatio, Centum Elec, GMR Infra and Bajaj Hindusthan Su hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Jio Financial Servic, Penta Gold, Sadhana Nitro, TVS Supply Chain Sol and Rachana Infrastructu hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
