Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.07% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:45AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

TIINDIA(up 4.9 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(up 2.37 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(up 1.95 per cent), Bosch(up 1.71 per cent) and MRF(up 0.81 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Ashok Leyland(down 1.11 per cent), Tata Motors(down 0.91 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.56 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 0.44 per cent) and Eicher Motors(down 0.36 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was up 0.07 per cent at 14795.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 22.05 points at 18838.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 102.31 points at 63430.01.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, Zee Ent. and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Keerti Knowledge, Subros, Blue Chip India, Crayons Advertising and Chaman Metallics hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Viaz Tyres, Kore Digital, Rachana Infrastructu, A G Universal and Sri Adhikari hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
