Stock market update: Nifty Auto index 0.53% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded around 09:58AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.0 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.73 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.7 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 1.2 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was 0.53 per cent at 23892.50 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 11.75 points at 24621.8, while the BSE Sensex was 14.03 points at 81496.02.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Sagility India, NTPC Green Energy, Trident Ltd and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Laxmi Goldorna House, Lambodhara Text, Precision Camshaft, Kridhan Infra and Sarla Perform hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Excel Realty N Infra, Supreme Engineering, Viji Finance, ARSS Infra and M K Proteins hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
