Stock market update: Nifty Auto index 0.41% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded around 11:25AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 1.01 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.0 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.2 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was 0.41 per cent at 23697.30 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 156.25 points at 24432.3, while the BSE Sensex was 570.38 points at 80818.46.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NTPC Green Energy and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Banaras Beads, Manba Finance, Enviro Infra Enginee, Niva Bupa Health Ins and NTPC Green Energy hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aki India, Ind-Swift Labs, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Akshar Spintex and Kamdhenu Ventures hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
