Stock market update: Nifty Auto index 0.01% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded around 10:39AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.5 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.35 per cent) and MRF Ltd.(up 0.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was 0.01 per cent at 23749.10 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 80.45 points at 24537.6, while the BSE Sensex was 310.24 points at 81155.99.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, NTPC Green Energy, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Bang Overseas, Niva Bupa Health Ins, HEG, Madhav Copper and Lincoln Pharma hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dhanvarsha Finvest, Akshar Spintex, Capital Small Finance Bank, Stampede Cap(DVR)and Naga Dhunseri Group hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
