Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 11:10AM

Lexus Granito(up 4.94%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.12%), Oriental Trimex(up 1.10%), MOIL(up 0.12%) and Pokarna(up 0.02%) were among the top gainers.

NMDC Ltd(down 2.65%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 1.90%), KIOCL(down 1.79%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.38%), 20 Microns(down 1.21%), Coal India(down 0.69%) and Ashapura Minechem(down 0.27%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 94.25 points down at 18606.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 324.39 points at 62510.21 at around 11:10AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 2.48%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.18%), Britannia Industries(up 0.91%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.61%), SBI Life(up 0.39%), Tata Motors(up 0.28%), Axis Bank(up 0.27%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.21%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.14%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.59%), Tata Steel(down 2.37%), JSW Steel(down 1.9%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.63%), UPL Ltd(down 1.59%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.56%), HCL Technologies(down 1.53%), Infosys(down 1.4%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.35%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.32%) were trading in the red.
