Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 11:20AM
Lexus Granito(up 4.94%) and Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.56%) were among the top gainers.
Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 3.17%), Oriental Trimex(down 2.97%), 20 Microns(down 2.58%), Coal India(down 1.65%), Pokarna(down 1.43%), KIOCL(down 1.16%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.03%), MOIL(down 0.95%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.78%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.50%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 146.25 points down at 17054.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 426.82 points at 56929.79 at around 11:20AM.
Reliance Industries(up 1.11%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.93%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.12%) and HDFC Bank(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 5.05%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.94%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.7%), SBI Life(down 2.36%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 2.19%), Shree Cement(down 2.09%), Grasim Industries(down 2.07%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.04%), ICICI Bank(down 1.96%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.86%) were trading in the red.
