Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 333.35 points at 66500.28

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:50AM

Future Consumer(up 6.25%), Heritage Foods(up 6.06%), Dodla Dairy(up 2.75%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.72%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 1.64%), Emami(up 1.62%), Umang Dairies(up 1.49%), Parag Milk(up 1.49%), Jyothy Labs(up 1.43%) and Bajaj Consumer(up 1.17%) were among the top gainers.

ADF Foods(down 3.18%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.05%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.84%), Bikaji Foods International(down 0.39%) and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.15%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 102.15 points up at 19833.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 333.35 points at 66500.28 at around 10:50AM.

HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.3%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.71%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.69%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.54%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.36%), ITC Ltd.(up 1.06%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.99%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.9%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.89%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.88%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.57%), UPL Ltd.(down 0.49%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.45%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.37%) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.18%) were trading in the red.
