NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed higher in the Friday's session.
Vadilal Industries Ltd.(up 2.90%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.82%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(up 2.45%), LT Foods Ltd.(up 1.92%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.79%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(up 1.76%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.10%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 0.86%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 0.79%) and Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 0.79%) stood among the top gainers.
Gillette India Ltd.(down 4.72%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 4.44%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(down 3.13%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(down 3.07%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(down 1.93%), Emami Ltd.(down 1.83%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(down 1.75%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 1.56%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(down 1.29%) and Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 1.12%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 319.16 points up at 25112.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1046.3 points at 82408.17.
Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 3.58%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 3.19%), Trent Ltd.(up 3.05%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.9%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 2.44%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.33%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 2.3%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.25%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.17%) and Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.79%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.48%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.05%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.12%) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.07%) closed in the red.
