Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:29AM

Marico Ltd.(up 0.83%) and Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.24%) were among the top gainers.

Adani Wilmar Ltd.(down 8.07%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 5.01%), LT Foods Ltd.(down 3.86%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 3.08%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(down 3.07%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 2.88%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 2.64%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 2.23%), Emami Ltd.(down 2.10%) and Gopal Snacks Ltd.(down 2.10%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 124.55 points at 23401.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 301.99 points at 77318.22 at around 10:29AM.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 4.52%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.36%), Wipro Ltd.(up 2.3%), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.22%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.93%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.72%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.33%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.16%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.08%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 5.13%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 3.11%), NTPC Ltd.(down 2.94%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.84%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.54%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 2.53%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.19%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.15%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.73%) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.68%) were trading in the red.
