NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed in the Friday's session.
Prataap Snacks Ltd.(up 10.63%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(up 3.77%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(up 1.59%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(up 0.78%), Gopal Snacks Ltd.(up 0.52%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(up 0.23%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.15%) and Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 0.05%) stood among the top gainers.
ADF Foods Ltd.(down 3.84%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 3.83%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(down 3.64%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 3.24%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 3.10%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(down 3.02%), Dangee Dums Ltd.(down 2.98%), Gillette India Ltd.(down 2.82%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(down 2.47%) and Hindustan Foods Ltd.(down 2.19%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 364.21 points at 23587.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 1176.46 points at 78041.59.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.37%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.15%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.12%) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.05%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.9%), Trent Ltd.(down 3.68%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.63%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.6%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 3.35%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 3.08%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.69%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 2.57%), Coal India Ltd.(down 2.54%) and State Bank of India(down 2.5%) closed in the red.
