Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Monday's session.
Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 5.31%), Sikko Industries(up 5.00%), Bohra Industries(up 4.95%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 3.46%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 3.11%), Aries Agro(up 2.89%), National Fertilizer(up 2.83%), Madras Fertlizers(up 1.64%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.35%) and KRISHANA(up 1.33%) stood among the top gainers.
ZUARIAGRO(down 7.18%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 2.17%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.43%), Coromandel International(down 0.77%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.72%) and G S F C(down 0.04%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 85.65 points up at 18202.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 234.79 points at 61185.15.
Britannia Industries(up 8.81%), State Bank of India(up 3.4%), Adani Enterprises(up 3.32%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.79%), Eicher Motors(up 2.41%), Tata Motors(up 2.27%), Tata Steel(up 1.86%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.61%), Coal India(up 1.42%) and ICICI Bank(up 1.35%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 8.86%), Asian Paints(down 2.45%), Cipla(down 1.33%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.26%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.15%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.11%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.02%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.91%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.88%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.74%) closed in the red.
