Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Tuesday's session.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 19.27%), G S F C(up 17.48%), Madras Fertlizers(up 12.79%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 11.47%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 9.12%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 8.21%), National Fertilizer(up 7.93%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 6.82%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 5.00%) and Agro Phos(up 4.93%) stood among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries(down 1.85%) were among the top losers of the day.


The NSE Nifty50 index ended 288.65 points up at 15638.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 934.23 points at 52532.07.

Titan Company Ltd(up 5.93%), Hindalco Industries(up 5.52%), JSW Steel(up 4.7%), Coal India(up 4.5%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.91%), Tata Motors(up 3.89%), State Bank of India(up 3.69%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.5%), Tata Consultancy(up 3.2%) and Eicher Motors(up 3.03%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.09%) closed in the red.
