Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Monday's session.
ZUARIAGRO(up 19.97%), G S F C(up 9.48%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 7.74%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 7.03%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 4.26%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 4.10%), National Fertilizer(up 3.63%), Aries Agro(up 3.15%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.73%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers(up 2.09%) stood among the top gainers.
Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.67%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.04%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 382.95 points up at 18053.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1335.05 points at 60611.74.
HDFC Bank(up 10.01%), HDFC(up 9.29%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 4.17%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 3.9%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 3.34%), Hero MotoCorp(up 3.2%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.98%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.69%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.42%) and Larsen & Toubro(up 2.03%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Infosys(down 1.08%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.22%) and Titan Company Ltd(down 0.15%) closed in the red.
