Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Friday's session.
Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 15.42%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 9.58%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 8.62%), ZUARIAGRO(up 8.48%), National Fertilizer(up 7.93%), Madras Fertlizers(up 7.83%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 7.56%), Agro Phos(up 6.09%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 5.00%) and Aries Agro(up 4.63%) stood among the top gainers.
Sikko Industries(down 0.66%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 410.45 points up at 16658.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1328.61 points at 55858.52.
Coal India(up 8.97%), Tata Motors(up 7.43%), Tata Steel(up 6.64%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 6.15%), IndusInd Bank(up 5.87%), Bajaj Finance(up 5.15%), JSW Steel(up 5.14%), Divis Laboratories(up 5.12%), NTPC(up 4.78%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 4.69%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Britannia Industries(down 0.67%), Nestle India(down 0.17%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.03%) closed in the red.
