Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Monday's session.
Aries Agro(up 10.32%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 8.23%), Agro Phos(up 4.99%), KRISHANA(up 3.09%), Sikko Industries(up 3.07%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 3.06%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.18%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.77%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.39%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 1.39%) stood among the top gainers.
Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 1.66%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.87%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.71%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.56%) and G S F C(down 0.12%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 271.65 points up at 17625.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 929.4 points at 59183.22.
Coal India(up 6.33%), Eicher Motors(up 4.9%), Bajaj Finserv(up 3.51%), Bajaj Finance(up 3.47%), ICICI Bank(up 3.32%), Tata Motors(up 3.15%), Tata Steel(up 2.79%), IndusInd Bank(up 2.72%), HDFC Bank(up 2.72%) and Axis Bank(up 2.62%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Cipla(down 1.44%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.1%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.88%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.58%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.32%) and Nestle India(down 0.14%) closed in the red.
