Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Tuesday's session.
Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 20.00%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 10.97%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 7.66%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 7.17%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 6.51%), Coromandel International Ltd.(up 6.51%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 5.88%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 5.65%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 4.72%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 4.40%) stood among the top gainers.
Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 2.02%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.41%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 500.0 points up at 23328.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1577.63 points at 76734.89.
IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 6.73%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 5.2%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 4.57%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 4.55%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 4.17%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 4.11%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 4.1%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.98%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.77%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.33%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 0.28%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.2%) closed in the red.
