NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Thursday's session.
National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 6.47%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 6.29%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 5.69%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 5.37%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 3.46%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.50%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.21%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.97%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.65%) and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 1.25%) stood among the top gainers.
Aries Agro Ltd.(down 1.97%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 1.56%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 0.70%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.32%) and Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.18%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 41.3 points up at 24811.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 147.89 points at 81053.19.
Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.62%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.4%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.57%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.47%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.39%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.24%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.16%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.12%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.97%) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.86%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.55%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.4%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.37%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.33%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.32%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.09%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.03%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.8%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.79%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.75%) closed in the red.
