Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:54AM
Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 7.78%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 7.26%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 6.54%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 4.96%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 4.43%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 3.35%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.89%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.79%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 2.70%) and Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 2.48%) were among the top gainers.
Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 5.01%) and Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 0.16%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 45.65 points up at 23335.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 65.16 points at 76758.52 at around 10:54AM.
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.88%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.53%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 3.39%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.74%), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.52%), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.43%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.65%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.36%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.3%) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.19%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.61%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.14%), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.13%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.55%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.47%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.91%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.8%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.76%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.68%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.55%) were trading in the red.
