Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:24AM

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 4.81%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 2.75%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.75%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.48%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.34%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.11%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 1.80%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 1.69%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.62%) and Coromandel International Ltd.(up 1.61%) were among the top gainers.

Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 2.93%), Aries Agro Ltd.(down 1.60%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.67%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 0.46%) and Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 53.86 points at 23635.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 170.54 points at 77977.95 at around 10:24AM.

Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 2.26%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.97%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.65%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.56%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.33%), ITC Ltd.(up 1.16%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.93%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.91%), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.65%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.5%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.4%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.72%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.56%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.23%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.21%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.14%), Trent Ltd.(down 1.12%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.1%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.96%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.94%) were trading in the red.
