Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed lower in the Wednesday's session.
Agro Phos(up 0.29%) stood among the top gainers.
National Fertilizer(down 4.21%), Aries Agro(down 4.01%), ZUARIAGRO(down 3.89%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 3.48%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 3.26%), Madras Fertlizers(down 2.77%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.62%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 2.37%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 2.28%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.19%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 272.4 points down at 17554.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 927.74 points at 59744.98.
ITC(up 0.42%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.09%) and Divis Laboratories(up 0.07%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 10.58%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 6.19%), Grasim Industries(down 3.61%), Bajaj Finance(down 2.83%), JSW Steel(down 2.8%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.39%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.37%), Reliance Industries(down 2.27%), HDFC Bank(down 1.96%) and Wipro(down 1.89%) closed in the red.
