Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed lower in the Friday's session.

National Fertilizer(down 9.48%), Madras Fertlizers(down 9.48%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 9.21%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 9.14%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 8.91%), Aries Agro(down 7.69%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 6.67%), ZUARIAGRO(down 6.66%), G S F C(down 6.45%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 6.12%) were among the top losers of the day.


The NSE Nifty50 index ended 320.55 points down at 17806.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 980.93 points at 59845.29.

Divis Laboratories(up 0.07%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 7.33%), Adani Enterprises(down 5.85%), Hindalco Industries(down 5.7%), Tata Steel(down 5.02%), Tata Motors(down 4.08%), Coal India(down 3.44%), Hero MotoCorp(down 3.33%), State Bank of India(down 3.27%), Bajaj Finserv(down 3.06%) and Reliance Industries(down 2.93%) closed in the red.
