Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 10:45AM

Agro Phos(up 19.92%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.99%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.01%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 0.49%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.12%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries(down 5.53%), G S F C(down 3.12%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 2.39%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 2.06%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.74%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.66%), ZUARIAGRO(down 1.66%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.11%), National Fertilizer(down 0.99%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.89%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 112.55 points down at 17695.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 418.5 points at 59191.91 at around 10:45AM.

NTPC(up 2.88%), Cipla(up 2.04%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.57%), Eicher Motors(up 1.53%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.94%), Axis Bank(up 0.81%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.77%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.63%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.61%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.6%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd(down 2.48%), HDFC(down 2.32%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.76%), HDFC Bank(down 1.64%), Grasim Industries(down 1.49%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.45%), Reliance Industries(down 1.44%), Wipro(down 1.35%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.29%) and Tata Consultancy(down 1.14%) were trading in the red.
