Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:04AM

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.04%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.78%), Sikko Industries(up 2.84%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.96%), Agro Phos(up 1.62%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.06%), KRISHANA(up 0.64%) and Coromandel International(up 0.39%) were among the top gainers.

G S F C(down 2.47%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.28%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.81%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 1.65%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.62%), Aries Agro(down 1.36%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.33%), National Fertilizer(down 0.68%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.64%) and Madras Fertlizers(down 0.49%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 145.65 points down at 17811.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 543.13 points at 59633.37 at around 10:04AM.

NTPC(up 3.72%), Coal India(up 1.92%), UPL Ltd(up 1.56%), Tata Steel(up 1.38%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.76%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.67%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.6%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.58%), ITC(up 0.56%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, HDFC(down 1.98%), HDFC Bank(down 1.96%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.68%), Axis Bank(down 1.65%), HCL Technologies(down 1.56%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.55%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.49%), Infosys(down 1.39%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.33%) and ICICI Bank(down 1.26%) were trading in the red.
