Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed lower in the Friday's session.
KRISHANA(up 4.07%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.60%), G S F C(up 1.21%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.62%) and Agro Phos(up 0.22%) stood among the top gainers.
Sikko Industries(down 4.94%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 4.89%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 4.80%), Madras Fertlizers(down 4.64%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 3.64%), Coromandel International(down 2.21%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 2.00%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.93%), ZUARIAGRO(down 1.17%) and Aries Agro(down 0.99%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 231.1 points down at 17374.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 773.11 points at 58152.92.
Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.75%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.03%), NTPC(up 0.51%), Tata Steel(up 0.49%), ITC(up 0.09%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.07%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 3.3%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.97%), Infosys(down 2.73%), HCL Technologies(down 2.24%), UPL Ltd(down 2.19%), Wipro(down 2.13%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.09%), State Bank of India(down 2.03%), HDFC(down 2.03%) and UltraTech Cement(down 2.02%) closed in the red.
