Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 11:11AM
Sikko Industries(up 4.93%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.42%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.41%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.16%), Coromandel International(up 0.16%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers.
Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.22%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 2.02%), Agro Phos(down 1.49%), G S F C(down 1.11%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.03%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.02%), Aries Agro(down 0.78%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.71%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.71%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.54%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 173.65 points down at 17843.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 535.13 points at 59817.69 at around 11:11AM.
Titan Company Ltd(up 1.67%) and Larsen & Toubro(up 1.14%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Indian Oil Corporation(down 3.87%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.98%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.76%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.63%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.06%), Eicher Motors(down 1.88%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.72%), State Bank of India(down 1.69%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.65%) and Bajaj Finance(down 1.62%) were trading in the red.
