Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Monday at 11:08AM

Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 4.64%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 4.62%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.78%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.77%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(up 1.37%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(up 1.09%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.66%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 0.23%), Aries Agro Ltd.(up 0.22%) and Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 0.17%) were among the top gainers.

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 2.49%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 2.34%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.01%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 1.65%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.03%), Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.88%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(down 0.79%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.60%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.47%) and National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.38%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 35.55 points down at 24801.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 154.36 points at 81308.73 at around 11:08AM.

Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.58%), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.03%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.29%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.27%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.13%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.05%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.01%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.0%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.93%) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.81%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 6.47%), Wipro Ltd.(down 2.99%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.09%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.29%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 1.19%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.01%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.99%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.99%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.96%) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.83%) were trading in the red.
