Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed lower in the Monday's session.

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 3.87%), Agro Phos(down 3.76%), Sikko Industries(down 3.67%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 3.35%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 3.34%), ZUARIAGRO(down 3.28%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 3.15%), G S F C(down 3.01%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.61%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.54%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 141.15 points down at 19512.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 483.24 points at 65512.39.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.28%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.96%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.67%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.47%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.46%) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.13%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 4.89%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.72%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.49%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.17%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.07%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.72%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.62%), State Bank of India(down 1.53%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.43%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.41%) closed in the red.
