Share price of SRF jumps as Sensex gains 73.0 points

The share price of SRF Ltd. gained 1.78 per cent to Rs 2353.1 at 10:05AM (IST) in Tuesday's trade. The scrip has hit a high of Rs 2358.95 and low of Rs 2311.2 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 2311.9 in the previous session.

The counter has had a total traded volume of 13307 shares so far with a value of Rs 312.0 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 36.4 and a price-to-book ratio of 6.93.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.


The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and reflects the price investors are willing to pay even for no growth in the business.

The scrip declined 2.7 per cent during the past one year, while the 30-share index advanced 9.1 per cent during the same period.

Promoters held 50.53 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2023, while FIIs and domestic institutional investors ownership stood at 20.03 per cent and 7.29 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 3350.14 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2023, down 11.85 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 3800.42 crore and down 14.2 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3904.57 crore.

Profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 359.29 crore, down 40.91 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
