Share price of Pidilite Ind falls as Sensex drops 217.9 points

The share price of Pidilite Industries Ltd. dropped 1.55 per cent to Rs 2419.95 at 01:39PM (IST) in Wednesday's trade. The stock has hit a high of Rs 2465.0 and low of Rs 2416.8 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 2458.25 in the previous session.

The counter has had a total traded volume of 19720 shares so far with a value of Rs 4.81 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 88.77 and a price-to-book ratio of 16.59.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.


The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and reflects the price investors are willing to pay even for no growth in the business.

The scrip declined 8.48 per cent during the past one year, while the 30-share index advanced 4.81 per cent during the same period.

Key Financials
The firm reported consolidated net sales of Rs 3298.54 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2023, up 21.62 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 2712.07 crore and up 6.0 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3111.79 crore.

Profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 468.16 crore, up 32.39 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
