Share price of Ashok Leyland rises as Nifty strengthens

Shares of Ashok Leyland Ltd. gained 3.87 per cent to Rs 255.9 in Monday's trade as of 10:15AM (IST).

The stock hit a high price of Rs 257.25 and low of Rs 248.7 during the session.

The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 27.58 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 10:15AM shares and turnover at Rs 12.45 crore around that time.


The stock of Ashok Leyland Ltd. quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low prices of Rs 257.25 and Rs 157.65, respectively.

The Beta value of the counter, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.55.

Promotor/FII Holding
Promoters held 51.52 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2024, while foreign investors held 22.03 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 14.04 per cent.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 10754.43 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2024, down 21.0 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 13613.29 crore and down 10.47 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 9735.45 crore.

Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 509.15 crore, down 6.39 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
