Share price of Ashok Leyland falls as Nifty weakens

Shares of Ashok Leyland Ltd. slipped 2.21 per cent to Rs 163.6 in Wednesday's trade as of 11:52AM (IST).

The stock hit a high price of Rs 167.95 and low of Rs 163.6 during the session.

The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 14.57 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 11:52AM shares and turnover at Rs 10.93 crore around that time.


The stock of Ashok Leyland Ltd. quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low prices of Rs 191.45 and Rs 133.1, respectively.

The Beta value of the counter, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.55.

Promoters held 51.53 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2023, while overseas investors held 20.48 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 14.54 per cent.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 11119.45 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2023, down 3.0 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 11463.03 crore and down 6.61 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 10430.39 crore.

Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 560.21 crore, up 75.59 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
