Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vedanta (number of shares traded: 3.68 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 1.80 crore), Empower India(number of shares traded: 1.26 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.06 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.04 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.70 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.43 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.42 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 0.27 crore) and Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 0.25 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 191.05 points up at 17271.75, while BSE Sensex was up 643.71 points at 58603.8 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 3.32 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 2.86 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent) and Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.50 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
