Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.90 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.73 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.65 crore), Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 0.58 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.51 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.46 crore), Unitech(number of shares traded: 0.42 crore), Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 0.27 crore), NCL Research(number of shares traded: 0.26 crore) and Excel Realty N Infr(number of shares traded: 0.24 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:30AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 89.5 points up at 17075.1, while BSE Sensex was up 255.02 points at 57889.86 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.55 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.49 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.30 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While ITC Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
