Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore), Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 1.16 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.11 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.64 crore), Lloyds Steels(number of shares traded: 0.33 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 0.31 crore), Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 0.23 crore), Shree Global(number of shares traded: 0.22 crore) and Mishtann Foods(number of shares traded: 0.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 31.15 points up at 18149.7, while BSE Sensex was up 130.19 points at 61071.86 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.20 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.38 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.03 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.60 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.70 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
