Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 27.02 crore), Motherson Sumi(number of shares traded: 11.11 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 2.68 crore), Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 1.85 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.75 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.48 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.39 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 0.36 crore), Equitas Small Fin(number of shares traded: 0.28 crore) and Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 0.27 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:35AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 133.85 points up at 18028.7, while BSE Sensex was up 480.99 points at 60573.96 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 2.70 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.17 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.62 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
