Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: PNB(number of shares traded: 4.31 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 4.02 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 3.81 crore), Central Bank(number of shares traded: 2.93 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 2.90 crore), UCO Bank(number of shares traded: 2.19 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 1.90 crore), Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 1.90 crore), Bank of India(number of shares traded: 1.81 crore) and Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 1.77 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 37.35 points up at 18597.85, while BSE Sensex was up 125.8 points at 62536.48 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.18 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
