Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: G G Engineering(number of shares traded: 2.14 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.38 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 0.95 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.92 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 0.81 crore), Central Bank(number of shares traded: 0.73 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.60 crore), CESC(number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.49 crore) and UCO Bank(number of shares traded: 0.36 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 17.7 points up at 18660.45, while BSE Sensex was up 79.09 points at 62705.45 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.50 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
