Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Bajaj Hindusthan Su(number of shares traded: 8.42 crore), Excel Realty N Infr(number of shares traded: 6.17 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.17 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 6.15 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 3.54 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 2.85 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.35 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.23 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 2.18 crore) and IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 89.35 points down at 18606.75, while BSE Sensex was down 326.47 points at 62542.03 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.74 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) and UPL Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
