Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 10.34 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.44 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 3.78 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.39 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 3.14 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.01 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.99 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 1.73 crore), Axis Bank(number of shares traded: 1.62 crore) and HFCL(number of shares traded: 1.52 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:10AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 148.75 points up at 18160.95, while BSE Sensex was up 475.06 points at 61221.65 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 4.66 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.52 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.31 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.61 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
