Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: PNB(number of shares traded: 4.43 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 2.29 crore), Infibeam Avenues(number of shares traded: 1.63 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.57 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 1.53 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.48 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.38 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.21 crore), RBL Bank(number of shares traded: 1.14 crore) and ONGC(number of shares traded: 0.89 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 54.95 points up at 17791.9, while BSE Sensex was up 202.24 points at 59959.08 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.20 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.17 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.97 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
